On European scale there are two ranking systems relevant for the U17 category – the BEC U17 Circuit Ranking and the BEC European U17 Ranking.
BEC U17 Circuit Ranking
- is a season based ranking (from 1/1 to 31/12),
- determines the best players/pairs on the BEC U17 Circuit,
- consists of results players/pairs achieve in BEC U17 Circuit tournaments,
- includes only European players/pairs,
- the points players/pairs win in BEC U17 Circuit tournaments count also towards the BEC European U17 Ranking.

BEC European U17 Ranking
- is used for seeding purposes for BEC U17 Circuit tournaments as well as for European U17 Championships,
- is a continuous 52 weeks ranking,
- determines the best U17 players/pairs in Europe,
- includes only European players/pairs,
- a maximum of 7 best results achieved during the last 52 weeks can count towards the BEC European U17 Ranking,
- included may be results from BEC sanctioned U17 tournaments, BWF sanctioned junior tournaments, Grade 3 BWF sanctioned elite tournaments and from European U15, European U17, European Junior and World Junior Championships.

Please be informed that following the Events Committee meeting on 28 January 2022, it was decided that the BEC European U17 ranking is back to normal again from 31 January 2022.
