SECTION 21 – FUNCTIONS AND MEETINGS

This section describes the main functions and meetings which are anticipated in connection with the event.

1. Functions

Functions are often planned by the hosting city to mark the event. The Organisers might also organise a players’ party or invite the team and technical officials for a social gathering.

If there are functions planned which require the participation of players and officials this should be communicated early before the event. Functions where players are expected should preferably be placed at the end of a day’s play.

The Referee will be leading the meeting together with the Deputy referee(s), informing the Team Managers about the necessary details of the tournament. The Organisers and the match control should be present at the Team Managers’ meeting.

3. Umpire Briefing

The Referee will be leading the meeting together with the Deputy referee(s), informing the Umpires about the necessary details of the tournament.
